Vintage Ceramic Americana Rooster from the 1950’s is a multi-channel video project about the work of a e-commerce seller of vintage and antique items. Each channel focuses on different aspects of the job—from speaking from the voice of some items [main channel], to showing the labor of this work [channel 2], and the sellers own photographs used for sale [channel 3]. Vintage Ceramic interrogates one’s relationship to the objects and repetitive practices that encompass the job as an e-commerce seller. E-commerce seller is Mary Reid, my mother.
